The site in Nortorf celebrated its 80th anniversary in November 2019. The management invited guests and employees’ families. A rare glimpse behind the scenes and into production.
The history of Brückner-Werke goes back to the year 1934. At that time, Brückner-Werke KG was founded in Altendorf/Bavaria. One year later, the central administration in Hamburg was added and in 1939 the Nortorf site, on the site of a former leather factory.
During the season, several lorry loads of potatoes from our own contract farming are sourced, dried and processed here every day. With an energy-efficient steam boiler, a modern drying plant, peeling technology and potato reception, the company is state of the art. This is made possible by constant investment in new technologies. A permanent process that is constantly being further developed.
In addition to potato processing, the focus is on the processing and trading of dried fruit. The fruit can be post-dried in the factory, cut according to customer requirements and then used in muesli, fruit slices, baked goods, confectionery, flavourings, dairy products and pet food. The focus here is on the careful selection of raw materials from different origins and modern technology.
